# FAQ

> Short answers to the questions traders ask most about Shumi.

> [accordion] How do I ask about a position I hold?
>
> Tell Shumi the coin and your side, long or short, and it answers for that position.

> [accordion] Why did it pick the wrong GOLD?
>
> Some tickers name more than one asset. GOLD is both a crypto token and the metal. Run `shumi resolve GOLD` to see every match.

> [accordion] Why is today's answer different from yesterday's?
>
> The inputs moved. A verdict combines the daily and weekly trend, funding and sentiment, and most of those refresh every hour. Two calls a few seconds apart can differ if an input refreshed in between.

> [accordion] I ran out of questions. What now?
>
> On the free plan you get 10 questions to start, then 1 per day, and the day resets at 00:00 UTC. Wait for the reset or buy a plan at [shumi.ai/pricing](https://shumi.ai/pricing) (Plus \$20 a month, Pro \$200 a month). In the terminal and API you can also pay per call: 0.005 USDC for a data call, 0.05 USDC for a question.

> [accordion] How fresh is the data?
>
> Most responses carry `meta.data_age_seconds`, the age of the data in seconds when you asked. Prices are live, funding and signals refresh every hour, and the screener every 4 hours.

> [accordion] Where can I see how the signals performed?
>
> Each study at [shumi.ai/studies](https://shumi.ai/studies) publishes its results.

> [accordion] Can I use Shumi from my own code or an AI agent?
>
> Yes. Keys come from the CLI: install it, run `shumi login`, then `shumi keys create`. Call `https://api.shumi.ai` with the key, or add `https://mcp.shumi.ai/mcp` as a connector in your MCP client.
